They're not just pets, are they?
They are our friends, inspiration, mediums, muses and family.
They provide comfort. happiness and sometimes a reason to exercise. They are your best friend and confidant. They share your life. They share love.
A portrait of them would add more than beauty to your home. It can capture a spirit, a moment or a memory.
This is why I enjoy painting them.

Now, a standard portrait size is 16 by 20 inches, but a standard pet is not. So the size of the painting is determined by many factors. Here are some examples ranging from 3 feet wide to 2 inches tall, though I have some which were over 5 ft. tall.

My standard pricing for commissioned portrait size work is $600, with miniatures, the smallest ones, starting at $180. The bigger they are will depend on the subject and work involved- I can spend days on even the smallest ones. Once particulars are established it takes generally two weeks or less to complete for shipping, if need be. I always submit a draft and keep updates to those involved during the process, and allow for two changes before completion.
